We strive to prevent illness in your pet however possible. The time and effort invested in wellness programs rewards both you and your pet. Our wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet, tailored by age and health history.

Wellness testing is performed as a part of your pet's yearly physical examination. This is specialized blood testing to detect underlying health problems, sometimes before you have even detected changes in your pet.

A comprehensive physical examination is performed to check your pet from head to tail. During your pet's examination, Dr. Ritter will check his teeth and gums, listen to his heart and lungs, check his ears, and feeling for any abnormalities, such as lumps and bumps. This is a great time to discuss any concerns you have about your pet's health!

Internal parasite screenings and heartworm testing are performed on your pet. A fecal exam is done to check for intestinal parasites, such as worms, and a blood test is used to detect heartworms.

Immunizations are required to keep your pet healthy, to allow them to vacation at most boarding facilities, and to stay in accordance with the local law requirements. All pets must be vaccinated once yearly for rabies. We recommend each pet receive and stay current on immunizations to keep your pet and those living in the community around it healthy and happy.
